Durham College · Web Development
A collaborative student recruitment landing page designed to position enrolment as a guided experience rather than a purely informational task.
A recruitment experience designed to engage, inform, and convert.
A collaborative web project developed to support student recruitment for Durham College’s Web Development program. The brief was approached as an end-to-end experience design challenge — focused on building clarity, trust, and engagement while helping prospective students visualise their path into the program.
As Content Researcher and Junior Design Assistant, I supported UX direction by conducting research, assisting with design exploration, and helping maintain visual consistency across assets while contributing to the overall team workflow and delivery process.
Balancing clarity, credibility, and engagement.
The core challenge was designing a recruitment experience that communicated academic credibility while remaining visually engaging for a younger, digital-first audience evaluating their first major education decision.
Structured process from brief to final implementation.
Analyzed project requirements and audience goals. Defined core design principles focused on clarity, credibility, and engagement. Established initial content hierarchy and page structure.
Broke down the landing page into structured sections including hero, program overview, outcomes, showcase, and conversion points. Supported task planning and coordination across contributors.
Contributed to visual direction by supporting layout structure, typography decisions, and consistency checks across sections. Helped establish shared design conventions for the team.
Assisted in reviewing design consistency, identifying UI issues, and refining animation and layout behavior through feedback cycles under tight deadlines.
Supported final QA checks, ensured visual consistency across sections, and contributed to the successful delivery of the recruitment landing page within deadline constraints.
